Things Left Behind is a video work produced as the final outcome of the “Daebu-Construction” project, encompassing the research and documentation conducted throughout the project.

“They are things left behind. And things will continue to be left behind. We are just passing entities, merely transient beings. We stay for a moment and then depart. However, these things preserve their unchanged forms. (…) Putting aside busy thoughts for a moment, I listen to the sounds. I lean in to hear the sounds of these things. They might have been continually speaking to us. Perhaps, through those sounds, we will finally hear what comes next.” (Excerpt from the artist’s notes)
